The Missouri Tigers are set for a critical game against the Kentucky Wildcats today in the second round of the SEC Tournament in Nashville. The winner advances to face the top seed Florida in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
With a victory against the Wildcats, the Tigers can end any doubt about whether they’ll be playing next Thursday or Friday in the NCAA Tournament. But if they lose, they run the risk of falling to the First Four in Dayton on Tuesday or Wednesday - or even worse in an unlikely scenario, falling completely out of the tournament if enough bid stealers emerge.
It’s tough to make a pick when the Tigers take the floor with how inconsistent they have been this season.
The good news is Missouri already knows it can beat this Kentucky team, having won at Rupp Arena 73-68 back on January 7th. This will have some resemblance of another road game as Kentucky will have the crowd advantage with how crazy passionate Big Blue Nation is.
With 141 points scored in that first meeting, that has me thinking the under is the best look here.
Mizzou had a good shooting night in the first meeting, hitting 51.9% from the field. The Tigers also shot above their season average from the free throw line, and both teams shot above their average from 3-point range - and yet the game still went under with just 141 total points.
The under has cashed in over 50% of games for both Missouri and Kentucky this season, so if you’re looking for action in this matchup, I think the under is the way to go.
Lean: Under 148.5 at -110 on DraftKings
