Arkansas 84, Mizzou 80

The Missouri Tigers wrap up their regular season on Saturday in Columbia against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

There is a ton on the line in this game when it comes to SEC Tournament seeding and also with Mizzou still potentially on the bubble for an NCAA Tournament berth. The Tigers are widely expected to make the field of 68 at this point, but they might want one more win just in case some bid stealers emerge in next weekโ€™s conference tournaments.

Missouri is coming off a very disappointing performance in getting routed at Oklahoma 80-64 this past Tuesday.

But the Tigers have shown a good ability to bounce back this season. They have lost consecutive games just once in SEC play, and I am expecting them to respond with an inspired effort on Saturday.

The Tigers have already shown they can compete with what is a very good Arkansas team. Mizzou fought hard in Fayetteville just a couple weeks ago, covering the spread in a 94-86 loss.

The Razorbacks are an explosive offensive team, ranking second in the SEC with 90.3 points per game. They are just coming off eclipsing the century mark in a 105-85 drubbing of Texas.

However, there appears to be a good chance Arkansas will be missing its best player for this matchup. As of the time of this writing on Friday afternoon, star guard Darius Acuff is doubtful to play, according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.

I was already leaning Missouri to put forth one of its best performances of the season in front of a packed house at Mizzou Arena - and if Acuff is out, that is a huge break for the Tigers that will only help their chances. I think Missouri gets this done and ends any doubt about its chances of making the NCAA Tournament.

Pick: Mizzou +2.5 at -105 on DraftKings
