Blues, Blackhawks Meet In Chicago

The St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks renew their rivalry tonight at the United Center.

The teams have split their two meetings so far this season, with both coming in St. Louis.

Can Blues Win Three In A Row?

The Blues are coming off back-to-back home wins over Vegas and Montreal over the weekend. With a victory tonight, they could achieve their first three-game winning streak of the season.

The Blues are a small favorite tonight, which is not a good omen. They are just 4-13 on the moneyline as a favorite this season.

Blackhawks Are Hot

The Blackhawks come into this one playing some of their best hockey of the season. Chicago has won three straight games all against quality opponents - Vegas, Washington, and Dallas.

And something has to give tonight. While the Blues haven’t won three in a row all season long, the Hawks have yet to win four straight games this season.

My Lean

I’m not buying in that the Blues are about to turn a corner. While those were great results against Vegas and Montreal, I don’t think how they played is a sustainable recipe for winning moving forward. The Blues were out-shot in both games, and they didn’t record 20 shots on goal in either contest. So I am expecting some regression to the mean tonight in Chicago.

We live in the Show-Me State after all, so I need the Blues to show me they can win three in a row before I can put my money on them. If you’re going to bet this one tonight, I would go with the Blackhawks.

Lean: Blackhawks on the moneyline at -102 on DraftKings
