My Lean
All the pressure is on Real Salt Lake in this game. CITY isn’t going to the playoffs, but the momentum they’re carrying is real and I’m sure they would gain much satisfaction ending the season on a high note and spoiling RSL’s playoff hopes.
With MLS’ watered-down postseason format, this is not a case of a great team that is easily going to brush aside a bottomfeeder to clinch a playoff spot. RSL is an average team at best, ranking 19th out of 30 teams in the MLS standings.
CITY is a slight favorite in this game, and I agree with it. If you’re going to bet this one, ride a surging CITY squad against what could be a tight RSL side.
