Cards Look To Clinch Their Over

It has certainly been a frustrating season for the St. Louis Cardinals and their fans. But the Redbirds can make some bettors happy tonight when they take on the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cards’ season win total for 2025 was set at 75.5. With a victory tonight, over bettors can cash their ticket with 7 games to spare.

Mikolas Makes Final Home Start

Miles Mikolas will make what is almost certainly his final home start as a Cardinal. The crafty veteran is finishing strong here down the stretch. Over his last four starts, Mikolas has posted a 2.57 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP with the Cards winning three of those games.

Mikolas should be feeling confident tonight pitching at Busch Stadium where he has a 3.40 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 14 starts this season.

Brewers Look To End Road Woes

The Brewers are cruising toward a division title and have an outside chance to reach 100 wins. However, it has been a struggle on the road lately. Milwaukee has dropped four in a row away from home.

The Brewers have won 6 of the 11 meetings with the Cardinals this season, and they look to clinch the season series tonight behind Chad Patrick. The right-hander returns to the rotation after pitching out of the bullpen in his last two appearances. Patrick has been worse on the road (4.60 ERA) than at home (2.98 ERA) this season.

My Lean

It’s just a hunch, but I have a feeling Mikolas pitches well tonight. As much grief as he takes, Mikolas has been a good Cardinal - and he has particularly thrived at Busch Stadium where he has a career ERA of 3.70 and a WHIP of 1.09. Here’s thinking he has one last good home start left in him.

And if you’re holding an over 75.5 wins ticket like I am, let’s hope the Redbirds take care of business tonight and we have a sweat-free last week of the season.

Lean: Brewers under 2.5 runs in the first five innings at -135 on DraftKings
