Blues Hope To End Slide
The St. Louis Blues look to snap their six-game losing streak when they travel to face the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
The Blues haven’t tasted victory since a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars exactly two weeks ago on October 18th.
Encouraging Signs For Blues?
The Blues are coming off an encouraging performance last time out despite falling 4-3 in a shootout to the Canucks on Thursday night. St. Louis dominated most of the game and outshot Vancouver 39-18.
The Blues hope to carry over that effort and get two points tonight to start climbing up the NHL standings, as only the Calgary Flames have fewer points in the entire league this season.
Streaking Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets carry a three-game winning streak into tonight’s matchup with victories over Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Toronto. They have also won five of their last six.
The Blue Jackets won both meetings with the Blues last season, winning 6-4 in Columbus and 2-1 in St. Louis.

You never want to mess with a winning streak in sports gambling. I’ve cashed taking the over in each of the last three Blues games, and I see no reason to steer away from it here.
The Blues are 8-3 to the over this season, including a perfect 4-0 on the road. They’ve given up the second-most goals per game in the NHL (4.27), and they’re up against a Blue Jackets team that has scored 15 goals in their current three-game winning streak.
Despite the winning streak, Columbus isn’t in great defensive form with 15 goals allowed in their last four games. And both teams could find success on the power play tonight, as the Blues’ penalty kill ranks 27th in the NHL (70.0%) while the Blue Jackets are right behind at 28th (65.6%).
