Battle Of 5-2 Teams At The Dome

The St. Louis Battlehawks are back home this weekend to take on the Birmingham Stallions at The Dome at America’s Center on Saturday.

Both teams are 5-2 on the season with three games remaining, and the Battlehawks can clinch a spot in the UFL playoffs with a win on Saturday coupled with an Arlington loss on Sunday.

Battlehawks Look To Stay Hot

The Battlehawks have won three in a row, including a 19-9 win at Memphis last weekend. That was the fourth time in seven games this season that the defense has given up single digits in points.

The Battlehawks return home to The Dome where they are 3-1 on the year. Due to an odd scheduling quirk, the Battlehawks actually get to play six games at home this season and only four games on the road.

Stallions Looking Strong

The Stallions come to St. Louis riding high after erasing a 19-point deficit to beat Houston 33-25 last Sunday. It marked the largest comeback win in UFL history.

The Stallions are the defending UFL champions and look like they have a good chance to repeat this year. Their defense allows just 15.3 points per game, which is best in the league.

My Pick

This is the fifth consecutive week I’ve looked towards the under in a Battlehawks game, and I’ll be betting that personally on Saturday.

The under has cashed the last two weeks with just 18 and 28 points scored in those games, and I think we get another one here with the two best scoring defenses in the league squaring off.

The Battlehawks’ offense has generated just 31 total points over the last two games with backup quarterback Max Duggan under center, so I think the coaching staff has realized they can win with their defense leading the way.

Look for a grind-it-out type of game that could go either way in terms of who wins, but I think the under is a strong play here. This total is a few points too high in my opinion.

Pick: Under 39.5 at -102 on DraftKings (bet to 37.5)
