Blues Beat Predators 4-1 for Sixth Straight Win (St Louis Blues)

The St. Louis Blues (37-28-7) defeated the Nashville Predators (26-36-8) 4-1 at the Enterprise Center on Sunday night for their sixth straight win. This was the second of three meetings between the two teams in a 10-day span, with the Blues also winning the first matchup 4-1 in Nashville last Tuesday. 

Game Recap

First Period:

Jordan Kyrou opened the scoring at 12:13 after a quick snap shot off a pass from Robert Thomas on the rush. Kyrou extended his point streak to six games, recording 11 points (six goals, five assists).

Alexandre Texier doubled the lead to 2-0 on the power play at 16:57, tapping in a pass from Thomas at the right post.

Second Period:

Filip Forsberg cut the lead to 2-1 with a power play goal at 1:04, toe-dragging around Ryan Suter and beating Binnington with a wrister.

Third Period:

Justin Faulk extended the lead to 3-1 at 10:30 with a wrist shot from high on the rush.

Brayden Schenn sealed the win with an empty-net goal late in the third frame to make it 4-1.

Notable Performances:

Blues forward Dalibor Dvorsky, the No. 10 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, made his NHL debut after Pavel Buchnevich (illness) and Oskar Sundqvist (maintenance day) were out. Dvorsky, who had 43 points (20 goals, 23 assists) in 57 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds, logged 10:40 of ice time on the night.

Jordan Binnington was stellar, stopping 31 out of 32 shots, earning a .969 save percentage.

Robert Thomas recorded three assists.

Dylan Holloway extended his point streak to seven games with an assist on Schennโ€™s goal, bringing his total to 11 points (three goals, eight assists) during that stretch.

Team Notes

The Blues are 12-2-2 in their past 16 games since the 4 Nations Face Off break and currently hold a four-point lead over the Calgary Flames for the second Western Conference wild-card spot.
