The St. Louis Blues (34-28-7) took down the Nashville Predators (25-34-8) with a 4-1 victory Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena. St. Louis entered the game just outside the Western Conference’s second wild-card spot, tied in points with Vancouver but with one more game played.

First Period

6:04 – Justin Faulk opened the scoring with a one-timer on the power play.

18:16 – Jake Neighbours doubled the lead, finishing a cross-slot pass from Faulk with a slick forehand-to-backhand move around Juuse Saros.

Second Period

18:50 – Jordan Kyrou made it 3-0 with a turnaround wrist shot on the rush.

19:59 – Brady Skjei spoiled the shutout with a one-timer from up high, cutting the lead to 3-1.

Third Period

13:45 – Kyrou netted his second of the night, tapping in a feed from Dylan Holloway.

Holloway finished with three assists and now has seven points (2G, 5A) in his last four games. Joel Hofer stopped 22 shots in the win with only one goal allowed.

Jake Neighbours finished the game with a "Gordie Howe hat trick" which included one goal, one assist, and one fight.

The Blues are now 10-2-2 in their last 14 games, staying tied in points with Vancouver for the final playoff spot.

St. Louis has been flawless on the penalty kill over the past five games, going 9-for-9 after shutting down both of Nashville’s power plays Tuesday.
