Home has been kind to the Blues recently, as they’ve won their last four games at Enterprise Center.
Blues On A Skid
The problem for the Blues is they aren’t winning anywhere else. They just wrapped up a winless three-game road trip last night with a 3-2 loss at Dallas, marking their eight straight regulation defeat away from home.
However, the Blues have excelled in this spot in the second game of a back-to-back with a record of 5-3-1 so far this season.
Kings Starting Road Stretch
Tonight marks the beginning of a six-game road trip for the Kings. LA has been good on the road this season with a 12-6-6 record while going just 8-10-7 at home.
The Kings haven’t been playing well lately despite beating the Rangers 4-3 last time out. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for LA, and the Kings have only 6 wins over their last 20 games.
My Lean
My gut tells me this is a spot for the Blues to play well and snap their slide. They’ve been much better at home of late, they have a strong record in the second game of back-to-backs’s, and LA has been a favorable opponent for them. The Blues are 4-0-2 in their last six meetings with the Kings.
It hasn’t been a fun experience to bet on the Blues this season, but if you’re looking for some action in this one, I think taking a stab on them to win is the way to go.
