Billikens Look To Cover Massive Number
The Saint Louis University Billikens look to keep on rolling this afternoon when they host the New Hampshire Wildcats.
Oddsmakers are giving New Hampshire a 35.5-point head start in this one, as the Billikens look to improve to 8-4 against the spread.
SLU On Fire
SLU is 10-1 and off to its best start since the 2011-2012 season after putting on a clinic in a 112-53 demolition of Bethune-Cookman last time out. The Bills set a school record by eclipsing 100 points for the fourth time in a season.
The Billikens have been a profitable team to bet on this season ATS, and you’ve also been making money if you’ve been taking the over in their games. The over is 7-4 in SLU games so far.
Wildcats Horrific Offensively
The 35.5-point spread is justified, as New Hampshire is one of the worst teams in the country. The Wildcats are ranked #330 out of 365 teams in the NET rankings, while SLU comes in at #20.
New Hampshire is woeful offensively in particular. The Wildcats’ offensive ranks:
2-point field goal percentage - 44.0% (345th in the country)
3-point field goal percentage - 28.2% (336th in the country)
Free throw percentage - 68.0% (288th in the country)
My Lean
I would not recommend betting this game, as this is essentially a glorified scrimmage for SLU.
If forced to make a pick, I would go with the under. You would think the Billikens would be due for some shooting regression after a blistering 62.5% from the field and 58.6% from deep in their last game, and New Hampshire is probably the worst offensive team that SLU will face all season.
