The Kansas City Chiefs face yet another tough test tonight when they host the Houston Texans.
After losing at Dallas on Thanksgiving, the Chiefs are now 6-6 and may need to win out if they want to return to the playoffs.
Houston is red-hot having won each of its last four games and boasts the NFL’s #1 defense allowing just 16.5 points per game.
The Texans have allowed only two teams to score more than 20 points against them this season, including giving up just 14 to the Rams, 19 to the Bills, and 16 to the Colts.
The under has been a cash cow in Texans games this season with a record of 9-3, while the Chiefs are not far behind with the under going 8-4 in their games.
Both teams have been playing tight games of late as well. Each of the last five games for the Texans has been decided by one possession, while the Chiefs have had one-score games in each of their last four.
I think we are in for another tight, low-scoring matchup in this one, and I want to play on both of those angles.
On DraftKings, you can take an alternate spread of Houston +7.5 and an alternate total of under 48.5. If you put those two together, that gives you a price of -110. I like that better than taking either the 3.5 spread or the 41.5 total individually.
