Blues, Blackhawks Meet At Enterprise

The St. Louis Blues renew their rivalry with the Chicago Blackhawks when the two teams battle tonight at Enterprise Center.

The Blues are coming off a successful Canadian road trip with wins in Calgary and Vancouver by a combined score of 9-4.

Blues Own The Hawks

It has been a one-sided rivalry in recent years with the Blues and Blackhawks. The Blues won all three meetings against Chicago last season, and since the 2019-2020 campaign, their record against the Hawks is 16-2-1.

The Blues are not just beating the Blackhawks - they’re usually winning comfortably. The combined score in those previous 19 meetings has been 76-43 in favor of St. Louis for an average scoreline of 4.00 to 2.26. The Blues have won by multiple goals in 12 of their 16 victories during that stretch.

Hawks Struggling Early

The Blackhawks are looking to build off Monday’s 3-1 win against Utah, which was their first victory of the season after starting the year with three straight losses.

The Hawks have dropped their first two road games this season, and that comes after a lowly record of 10-26-5 away from home last season.

My Pick

The Blues should win this game, but there is no value in the massive moneyline price of -238.

Instead, I’m going to the prop market for my pick and am banking on this being the breakout game for Dylan Holloway, as I view this matchup as an ideal buy-low spot.

Holloway is one of only two players on the roster to have played in all 3 games without registering a point - but it certainly hasn’t been for lack of activity. He leads the team with 12 hits, he’s tied for the team lead with 9 shots on goal, and he leads the Blues forwards in ice time.

Holloway notched at least 1 point in all 3 games against the Blackhawks last season with 1 goal and 3 assists. He’s due, so look for him to get off the schneid in this one.

Pick: Dylan Holloway over 0.5 points at -135 on DraftKings (bet to -140)
