CITY Heads To Texas

St. Louis CITY SC looks for a second consecutive victory when they travel to face FC Dallas tonight at Toyota Stadium.

CITY picked up a 2-1 win over Portland last Sunday, marking just their second victory in their last 18 games.

Can CITY Play Well Away From Home?

CITY was the deserved victor in last week’s game against Portland at Energizer Park, but it remains to be seen if they can carry their good play on the road.

CITY has won just once away from home this season, and it came all the way back on March 9th in a 3-0 rout of the LA Galaxy. Overall this season on the road, CITY has a record of 1W-8L-2D, including six straight losses.

Dallas Horrible At Home

FC Dallas resides just one spot above CITY in the Western Conference standings. CITY has the rest advantage in this one, as Dallas had to play mid-week with a 2-2 draw at San Jose this past Wednesday.

Dallas surprisingly has been dreadful at home this season with just one win. Their overall home record is 1W-7L-2D.

My Pick

It’s tough to pick a winner in this game with CITY being a horrible road team and Dallas being awful at home.

I think the best angle for this game is goals, as we have a lot of data pointing to a high-scoring game. I’m taking both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. This is a bet that has cashed in six of the seven CITY games since David Critchley took over as manager. It has also cashed in five of the last six for Dallas.

I’m very confident both teams find the back of the net here. CITY has not kept a clean sheet in 13 straight games, and Dallas has conceded at least two goals in six consecutive matches.

Look for a fun, high-scoring affair down in Texas, as CITY looks to build some momentum toward the later stages of the season.

Pick: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at -135 on DraftKings (bet to -140)
