CITY Face RSL

St. Louis CITY SC head to Utah to take on Real Salt Lake tonight at America First Field.

Both teams are near the bottom of the Western Conference standings, with 13th place RSL positioned 4 points ahead of 14th place CITY.

CITY Desperate For A Result

CITY is coming off a 1-0 loss at Houston last weekend where they generated just 0.3 xG. They are now winless in their last four games, and over their last 16, they have a record of 1W-11L-4D.

CITY has also conceded in 11 straight games and in 15 of their last 16, so they will likely need to generate some offense tonight if they hope to get a result.

RSL Playing Low-Scoring Games

Real Salt Lake is not playing well lately either. They have just one win in their last nine matches, with the vast majority of those games being low scoring. Under 2.5 goals has cashed in seven of their last eight.

RSL will be without their best player tonight in midfielder Diego Luna, who leads them in both goals and assists. Luna is currently with the US Men’s National Team for their CONCACAF Gold Cup final tomorrow against Mexico.

My Lean

CITY’s roster is currently ravaged by injury, which is a big reason why this line has jumped significantly to Real Salt Lake being a -170 favorite - and that’s too big of a price for me to take RSL.

I could see a tight and cagey game with CITY trying to grind out a result, and RSL hasn’t shown enough quality lately to suggest they can rack up several goals. They’ve found the back of the net just eight times in their last nine games, and without Luna, that task gets even tougher.

If you’re going to bet this game, I think the best play is the under 3. If you would have bet the under 3 in every single RSL game this season, your record would be 12-4 with 3 pushes.

Lean: Under 3 at -105 on DraftKings
