Game Recap:

Jordan Kyrou stole the show with his fifth career NHL hat trick, while Brayden Schenn and Jake Neighbours also found the back of the net.

Schenn opened the scoring just four minutes in, batting down a shot from Cam Fowler. Neighbours then doubled the lead midway through the second period. Less than two minutes later, Kyrou buried a rebound off a Dylan Holloway shot to make it 3-0.

Minnesota responded quickly, as Jake Middleton capitalized on a Joel Hofer giveaway just 25 seconds later. Kyrou secured his brace with a wraparound goal midway through the third, then completed the hat trick with a late empty netter to secure the win.

“Yeah, games are tough this time of year,” Schenn said. “Everyone’s scoreboard watching. That’s just the reality of it. And we’ve got to keep on climbing up the standings. We’re in a dogfight with a lot of teams, and it’s fun. It’s when you want to be playing meaningful hockey and competing every night.”
