CITY Travels To Canada

St. Louis CITY SC heads north of the border to take on CF Montréal on Saturday night in a battle of struggling sides.

This is the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

CITY Still Having Road Woes

CITY is coming off a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas this past Saturday, as they couldn’t pull out a victory despite playing a man up most of the match after an early red card for Dallas.

CITY is heading on the road where they have really struggled this season. They only have one win away from home all year long, and it came all the way back on March 9th against the LA Galaxy. CITY’s road record this season is 1W-11L-2D, including nine straight losses.

Montréal In Solid Form

Montréal hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire either. They are in 14th place in the Eastern Conference with just two more points than CITY, and they have only two home wins this year.

However, Montréal is currently in their best form of the season. They are riding a five-game unbeaten streak with two wins and three draws.

My Picks

I recommend two plays in this game.

First, I’m going to be on Montréal draw no bet - meaning the only way you lose money is if CITY does something they haven’t done since March, which is win a road game.

And I’m going to continue to ride the over 3. I know it didn’t hit last week, but the early red card changed the entire pattern of play for that game.

Since David Critchley took over as manager, if you would have bet the over 3 in all 14 CITY games, you would have only lost money twice with a record of 7 wins, 2 losses, and 5 pushes.

The streak is now 20 straight games where CITY hasn’t kept a clean sheet, and Montréal has conceded in 16 of their last 17. So look for the goals to be flying here per usual in CITY games.

Picks on DraftKings: Montréal draw no bet at -135 (bet to -140) AND Over 3 at -135 (bet to -140)
