Fanatics Sportsbook is officially heading to Missouri. The fast-growing operator announced a multi-year partnership with Boyd Gaming to secure market access here in the Show-Me State ahead of the state’s long-awaited launch of legal sports betting.
Fanatics Teams Up With Boyd Gaming
Through the deal, Fanatics will offer online sports betting under Boyd Gaming’s Missouri sports betting license. The two companies will also roll out Fanatics-branded retail sportsbooks inside Boyd’s two Missouri properties:
Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City
Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles
Fanatics Betting and Gaming recently submitted its applications to the Missouri Gaming Commission for both retail and online licenses. If approved, Missouri would become the 23rd U.S. jurisdiction where Fanatics operates, adding to its footprint that already includes Washington, D.C.
Missouri Sports Betting Launch Timeline
The state is on track for a December 1, 2025, launch of legal sports betting apps. The Missouri Gaming Commission will issue up to 19 retail sportsbook licenses and 14 online licenses under the approved framework.
Remaining deadlines include:
Sept. 12, 2025: All partnered retail and online sportsbook applications must be submitted.
Dec. 1, 2025: Official statewide launch date for sports betting apps.
Competitive Missouri Market Forming
The Missouri Gaming Commission already awarded its two untethered sportsbook licenses to DraftKings and Circa Sports. Other operators are lining up with local partners:
FanDuel announced a deal with St. Louis CITY SC, giving it market access ahead of launch.
Underdog Sports has submitted its license application but has not yet revealed its partner.
With the Fanatics-Boyd agreement, Missourians can expect another major player in what’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive new sports betting markets in the country.
Why Boyd Gaming Matters To Fanatics
Boyd Gaming operates 28 gaming properties in 10 states, including the two Ameristar casinos in Missouri. In addition to its retail footprint, Boyd also owns and operates Boyd Interactive, its online gaming business, making it a natural partner for a sportsbook giant like Fanatics.
As the December launch date approaches, Missouri sports fans can look forward to placing bets both online and in person, whether at the Ameristar in Kansas City, the Ameristar in St. Charles, or from the palm of their hand with Fanatics Sportsbook.
