Battlehawks, Renegades Meet Again
The St. Louis Battlehawks and Arlington Renegades meet for the second time in three weeks when they square off tonight at The Dome at America’s Center.
The Battlehawks lost the first meeting 30-15, although the game was closer than the final score indicated due to a pick-6 by Arlington in the final seconds of the game.
Battlehawks Go For Two In A Row
The Battlehawks rallied to beat the Michigan Panthers 32-27 last week at The Dome. It was a critical win for the Battlehawks, as they pulled into a tie for second place in the XFL Conference with Arlington.
The top two teams in the conference will advance to the UFL playoffs, so the winner of tonight’s game will have a leg up in the race for a playoff spot.
Renegades Look To Rebound
Arlington will be looking to bounce back from a 37-33 home loss to the first place DC Defenders last week.
The Renegades have started the season with four of their first five games at home. Their only previous road game was a 10-9 loss at Birmingham.
My Lean
I find the under very enticing in this game. These teams met two weeks ago in Arlington, and there were 45 total points scored; however, it took three defensive touchdowns to send the game over the total. I wouldn’t expect that to happen again.
These two teams are very evenly matched, so I think that’s going to make for a tightly contested game with a lot on the line in the race for the playoffs.
The under falls just short of making my card though. Both teams are coming off good offensive games, so it’s possible both offenses have hit their stride as we get to the second half of the season. So this is just a lean for me and not a bet, but if you’re looking for action on this game, I think the under is the best way to approach it.
