A surprising name made the list of St. Louis Battlehawks cuts before the team's season opener against the Houston Roughnecks. Former Arizona Cardinal Andy Isabella was among the ten players cut today, as the UFL teams set their final rosters before regular season action.

The Cardinals drafted Isabella in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, where he played three seasons before getting cut in October 2022. He bounced around with Baltimore and Buffalo but couldn't latch on, mostly due to injuries. Isabella and former Cardinals teammate Hakeem Butler were set to reunite and even took videos together for the team's social media accounts, but, unfortunately, the Hawks’ crowded WR room put an end to that dream.

Fellow WRs James Bostic and Jelani Baker were also cut, alongside DTs Avery Young and Albert Huggins, FS Avery Young, CB D'Angelo Mandell, S Dravon Askew Henry, OT Eric Magwood, and LB John Petrishen. The team posted its final roster video to its social media accounts earlier today:

The UFL Season kicks off Friday, March 28 at 7 PM CT, when the Battlehawks take on the Houston Roughnecks on the road.
